The 13th annual Fit Family 5k Run and Walk Race takes place on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. The race starts on the campus of Walsh University and runs through the surrounding neighborhoods. Finishing on the campus, runners will hear the support from volunteers as they  approach the downhill finish. After the race, there will be music and awards! This fast road race serves as an excellent tune up for the Akron Marathon on Friday, September 27th, 2024!  The race was created to encourage fitness and health for people of all ages. 

In addition to the 5k race, there will also be a Kids' Fun Run! The fun run will take place in the center of campus where the kids will complete a two-lap course in the beautiful academic circle of campus. After the fun run, there will be awards with exciting prizes. Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in fun activities supervised by Walsh Physical Therapy students! We will also be offering babysitting for the parents and caregivers of fun run kids who want to run in the 5k! 

Funds and Donations: 

All money raised will go towards the Walsh University Doctor of Physical Therapy class of 2026.  

This money will be used to assist students when traveling to conferences and with their
